Журнальный столик — предмет в интернете необходимый, но, часто так бывает, что места для него в гостиной не находится. Вспоминаешь о нем тогда, когда в гостях собирается небольшая теплая компания и жалеешь, что нет под рукой подставки под стаканы и тарелочки.
В таких случаях очень удобен будет складной столик, который можно достать в случае необходимости, сложить и убрать тогда, когда он не нужен. Есть идея, как обновить старый журнальный столик, придав ему оригинальный и стильный дизайн, после окончания работы в вашем доме появится шахматный стол, который поможет с пользой скоротать время.
Материалы, которые вам понадобятся для работы:
— Плоскогубцы;
— Антистеплер;
— Мел;
— Линейка;
— Ножницы;
— Швейная машина;
— Защитные очки;
— Строительный степлер;
— Мебельные скобы.
Инструкция по обновлению
1. Для начала снимите со стола столешницу. Если у нее есть старое виниловое покрытие, то его нужно удалить, вряд ли оно выглядит достойным образом. Его придется заменить, но снимайте старое аккуратно. Вам пригодятся плоскогубцы, антистеплер, ножницы.
2. Для того, чтобы сделать аналог шахматной доски на столе, вам понадобятся квадраты из черного и белого винила: 32 квадрата каждого цвета непосредственно для шахматного поля и еще четыре полосы для изготовления пограничной окантовки, которая будет пришита по краям. Размеры квадратов будут зависеть от размера самой столешницы, плюс обязательно оставляйте запас на припуски, особенно на полоски, которые предназначены для краев. Чертить линии нужно на обратной стороне винила, поэтому можно не беспокоиться, что они после будут видны.
3. Начинайте изготовление покрытия для стола с постепенного соединения квадратов между собой, соединяя квадраты разных цветов (белый с черным).
4. Затем соединяйте полученные полоски из чередующихся черных и белых квадратов таким образом, чтобы и с боков рядом оказывались разные квадраты, во всех направлениях они должны чередоваться черный-белый-черный. Все припуски остаются открытыми.
5. Сшивайте вместе группы квадратов из 4 штук, чтобы получить восемь.
6. Дальше количество увеличивается от восьми — к шестнадцати, 4 группы по шестнадцать квадратов.
7. Таким образом, из четырех групп по шестнадцать квадратов должно получиться два общих полотна из 32 квадратов. Затем соедините их вместе, чтобы получить завершенное полотно.
8. Для того, чтобы швы ложились ровно, отстрочите все вертикальные швы.
9. Затем настрочите швы в другом направлении.
10. Теперь соединяем углы, выполнив отстрочку.
11. Пришейте пограничную отделочную полосу к основному полотну по всей длине с четырех сторон.
12. Настрочите швы вдоль границы с лицевой стороны.
13. Пойдите швейной машинкой по всему периметру.
14. После того, как полотно для столешницы готово, останется лишь закрепить его на столике.
Для этого вам понадобится строительный степлер и мебельные скобы большого размера.
15. Прикрепите крышку к раме — и столик готов!
Несколько советов
— использование непористых материалов, например, винила, позволяет сделать чистку стола и уход за ним беспроблемным;
— выбирая мебельные скобы, не переусердствуйте, чтобы они не проткнули стол насквозь;
— если столешница крепится к раме винтами, то не закрывайте их винилом.
